What is a Cross Painted Pet?
Cross Painted pets, Double Painted pets, and Twice Painted pets are all terms for pets that have been have been painted with at least two different paint brushes while keeping the clothes you get from a paint brush set.
Unfortunately, there are some pets that can’t be cross painted because they can’t wear clothing.
However, most of them can wear trinkets and backgrounds.
The pets that can’t wearing clothing are Unconverted pets, Maraquans, Mutants, Babies, and Fruit/Vegetables.
Cool, so how do I get one?
1. First, you should try and pick out a pet of yours that have paint brush clothing to your liking because you’ll be combining them.
Basically, you’re “window shopping” for a perfect pet to start customizing.
Or you can always pick your favorite pet and go from there.

2. Picked your pet yet? Good.
Now here’s the part where you use up your hard earned or in the case of most here, illegitly earned neopoints to buy those paint brushes that contain the clothing/accessories that you desire.
By the way, you aren’t limited to getting only one set of clothes. For example you might want the earrings from the Desert PB and clothing from both the Royal and Pirate PBs.
You can paint your pet however many times you want to in order to get the clothes/accessories you want.
So go crazy with it

ALWAYS PAINT WITH THE PAINT BRUSH THAT GIVES YOUR PET CLOTHING FIRST .
Even though you might think it’s a waste to paint your pet Pirate first and then paint it a cheap color like Ghost, DO IT.
Once painted, you will be able to see your brand new paint brush clothes when you go to customize.
The best thing is that they’re yours to keep forever!
Even if your pet changes species or color, the clothes will stay in your closet.
3. Now that you’ve got your clothes/accessories it’s time for the base color!
Most of the time the best base colors are the cheaper paint brush colors, such as: Shadow, Gold, Silver, White, Ghost, and even basic colors look nice!

Now go out there and start making a whole army of cross painted pets.
My favorite would have to be cross painting the Stealth Paint Brush with the Ghost Paint Brush!
