Different Ways to Paint your Neopet: A Colorful Guide!

buy neopoints

The simplest way to get a painted pet is by using paint brushes. There are many paint brushes, and not all paint brushes work on all species. If you wish to know which paint brushes work on which pets, the Rainbow Pool is your best friend. At the Rainbow Pool, you can find out combinations by color or by species. Species is better if you are looking for a color for a certain pet; color is better if you are looking for a certain pet for the color of your choice.

2. Morphing Potions

Morphing Potions are potions that you can use to morph your pet into different pets. You can morph your pet into virtually anything, including limited edition pets and painted pets. They look very nice. The only problem with this method is it costs a BUNCH of money.

If you want to find different morphing potions Go Here

Click the link above to get access to pretty much every item that has already come out and some that didn’t come out yet! This database has every morphing potion that came out, so just look it up, and it will tell you the rarity, how much it costs, and links to find and buy it (TP, SW, etc.).

If you use a morphing potion on your pet (most use a Green Uni Morphing potion because it is only 12k), you get an avatar. This is the avatar you get if you use a morphing potion on your pet.

3. Transmogrification Potions

A transmogrification potion turns your pet into a mutant. Transmogrification potions are the ONLY way to turn your pet into a mutant. There is no such thing as a mutant paint brush or mutant morphing potion. Transmogrification potions are much cheaper than certain morphing potions.

In my opinion, you are better off buying a transmogrification potion if you need a painted pet quickly. Your pet looks cool and vicious and comes cheaper!

Note: Not every pet has its own transmogrification potion. So, choose carefully to find the perfect one for you. This is the avatar you get when you get a transmogrification potion.

4. The Glowing Jelly Method

This is a very rare way of turning your pet into another color – glowing, to be exact – cheap. This has happened before, but it is SUPER unlikely that this will happen to you.

Feeding your pet glowing jelly will turn your pet into the color Glowing, but this could take thousands/millions of tries, so I wouldn’t bother doing it.

5. Boochi

Boochi is a baby Bruce that runs around Neopia causing trouble. If you get this rare random event, you MAY have your active pet turned into a baby. You will also get Boochi as a Battledome challenger. Boochi has a weapon in the Battledome that you can also use to turn your pet into a baby.

6. I’m Feeling Blue

Make sure to take care of your pets and make them feel good because if they get too sad, they may just look a little blue… literally. Your pet can turn blue in a random event if they are feeling sad and neglected. Make sure to play with your painted pets every once in a while.

7. Secret Laboratory Map

The Secret Lab Map is a secret lab map (duh) that costs a million NP. Is it worth getting it? Yes. The lab map can do anything to your pet, from changing its gender, its color, its species, its stats! The Secret Laboratory is one of the most used ways to change your pet’s colors. Here is a guide – that was not written by me – on the Secret Lab Map.

8. Flask of Rainbow Water

The Flask of Rainbow Water is a way of changing your pet’s color. This item is expensive, though, so don’t think this will come cheap.

9. You Can’t See Me!

There is a random event that turns your pet invisible. I am not completely sure how this random event works, but I’m guessing if your pet feels like you don’t play enough with it, or it’s just *sensitive*, it will turn invisible. Or, it could just be a regular random event. Always watch out for these kinds of REs because these are the ones that can have people lose painted pets.

10. The Fountain Faerie (thanks to Cackle, I forgot)

The Fountain Faerie can ask for various items with a rarity of 94 or higher. The Fountain Faerie will give you access to the Rainbow Fountain as a reward for completing her quest. If you have access to the Rainbow Fountain, you can paint your active pet into almost any color you wish! However, some colors are not available, among these are: Royal, MSP, Sponge, and Robot. Painting a Buzz at the Rainbow Fountain will give you the Buzzin avatar.
