Guide to Sorcerers Skirmish!

This is a turn-by-turn game similar to chess. Every turn you choose a piece to move. The amount of spaces a piece can move is based on their speed. A piece can choose to engage in battle with another by moving to the same space as the other piece. If the attacking piece has a higher attack then the defending piece’s defense, then that piece wins. If it is lower, the piece is destroyed.

Pieces
Before you start playing, you should make yourself familiar with the pieces you will see on the playing board.

Eyrie

This is your “captain.” There is one of these on the board per team. If he is defeated, you lose. It is best to surround him with other pieces to protect him.
Attack: 3
Defense: 1
Speed: 1

Scorchio

This piece is the “guard.” There are two of these on the board per team. If hit by an Acara, they will die instantly. Use them to defend your Eyrie.
Attack: 0
Defense: 4
Speed: 1

Acara

This is your speed piece. There are two of these on the board per team. They have the ability to move through rocks and such. They can also instantly kill the scorchios on the opposing team.
Attack: 1
Defense: 2
Speed: 4

Skeith

This is your tank piece. There is one of these on the board per team. They have low speed, but make up for it in attack and defense.
Attack: 3
Defense: 3
Speed: 2

Gelert

This is your powerhouse. There is one of these on the board per team. Their defense is terrible, but that can play into your favor. Typically pieces move TOWARD your gelert so they can beat it. This piece can move three spaces so try and trick them to move close enough for you to strike.
Attack: 3
Defense: 1
Speed: 3

Kougra

This is your warrior piece. There are two of these on the board per team. Their stats are even so they can be used to take out half of the opponents on the field. They can also be used as a trap for other pieces so your Skeith or Gelert can get it.
Attack: 2
Defense: 2
Speed: 3

Potions

These potions will aid you in your quest to beat the enemy. Each potion should be used on a certain piece. Try and go for the green (speed) with your Acara. Try and get the blue (defense) for your Gelert. Aim for the red (Attack) with either your Skeith or Kougra. There is only one of each of these potions per level so use them wisely and before the enemy gets to it!

Dark Eyrie

This is the target piece. You want to beat him, since that’s how you win the level. But, only go for him AFTER you have beaten all the other pieces.
Attack: 3
Defense: 1
Speed: 1

Enemies

These are the pieces you want to beat before going for the Eyrie. They have the same stats as your corresponding pieces.

Shadow Pieces

These pieces replace your enemies when you play on medium/hard. You have to guess which piece is which. Luckily, you can tell based off of how they move. They move the same as before. Be sure you know what the piece is before attacking. The only way to know for sure what the piece is if you attack it. If you lose, it stays reveled.

Strategy
This is a basic strategy I use to get over 7000. This can help you beat AAA and the others.
When the game begins, move one of your Acaras toward the green Speed potion. Once there, move the piece mentioned above towards its corresponding potion. It is highly unlikely you will get all three, so try and get at least two.
Now, try and pick off the enemy’s Acaras. They are a big problem later. They are also typically the first two pieces to be moved, so take them out quick. Now your opponent should be moving either his Gelert or his Kougras. Pick them off with either your Skeith or Gelert. If the piece being moved is a Kougra, you can send one of your Kougras after it.
Now there should be 4 or five pieces left. The Dark Eyrie, The Scorchios, and The Skeith or Gelert. Possibly both. By now they should be moving either the Skeith or the Gelert. If the Skeith, use your Skeith to knock it out. If it’s the Gelert, go ahead and use your Kougra.
All that is left now are the Scorchios and the Dark Eyrie. Use your Acaras to pick off the Scorchios then use the one closest to the Dark Eyrie to defeat him. Now you will advance to the next level. Just rinse and repeat!
