First and foremost, start the game in SMALL (640×480) size. This makes it so you do NOT have to move around so much. That is very important. For me personally, I found out it easier to put the top/right edge of the game screen at the very top/right edge of my monitor. As far as it would go. I find it easier to stay ON screen when you get those annoying Kyrii/BD/Money Tree ads that take up the entire top half. Obviously you should try it in the middle of the monitor and if it works for you, great! There are 30 “Go’s” per level.
Starting off, there’s no popups. When I’m hitting “Go” I count as I’m going along. “1-2-3-etc”. I pay no attention to the spaceship. Second level, the popups start coming…. IGNORE ALL POPUPS BESIDES THE ONES IN YOUR IMMEDIATE PLAYING AREA. Do not bother closing the popups if they do not get in your way, alternatively instead of closing you can also just move some of them. I find it a lot easier to hit the “X” than to hit the “Close” on some of the popups. Again, I’m counting the Go’s, it helps me better determine if I should close popups that are in the main playing area. I never close a popup until it’s in my way. Once you get to around 400 points (500, preferred) at the intermission when Sloth is around type in “nopopup” (without quotations, obviously) and hold your finger on the “S” button. When you get bombarded with popups and you’re just about to beat the level to get 550 points, type s. It will clear all popups currently on the screen (once per game). If you don’t happen to use it that round, you will need to retype at the intermission. That’s really about it.
Key points to remember:
Choose the small game screen window size.
There are 30 “Go” stars in EVERY level, be sure to count to keep track!
Optical mouse is definitely preferred.
Position your window in the top/right corner of your monitor if you feel comfortable with it.
Never close popups unless needed.
And lastly, use the nopopups cheat to your advantage. Use it at the right time.
