There are other ways to cure your pets, ranging from being entirely free to much more expensive than the cure itself.
The healing springs is what I would suggest looking to for a cure. You can attempt to heal your pet every 30 minutes, and it may or may not deicide to “fully heal” your pet. This method is free and entirely random, but will eventually work if you have enough patience.
The Yellow Healthshroom is a very expensive method for healing, and i don’t reccomend it. You can find one for sale in the trading post, though since they are so rare, there is no set price.
The Warm Amber Ointment is a relatively cheaper healing object compared to some medicines. It only works on certain diseases (this I’m not entirely sure of) so use at your own risk. Found in the shop wizard for about 50k (average).
The Medicinal Plant is a very cheap alternative, selling for only about 400 np in the shop wizard, but healing is entirely random so this method could take many, many tries.
Pet Specific Cures
Yes, there are cures that only work on certain pets and pet colors.
Feed your pteri and item with the word ‘worm’ in it, and it will be healed from any disese. Here is a link to the item ‘Worm Nugget‘ which sells for about 40 np in the shop wizard.
Feed your ghost pet ‘Magic Ghost Marshmallows‘ to heal it from any disease. About 7k in the shop wizard.
