You play as Samrin, a Blue Kacheek Farmer. Your main goal is to herd Petpets to the padlocks before the infamous Balthazar can get to them!
Movements:
- Move Samrin up: Up
- Move Samrin left: Left
- Move Samrin right: Right
- Move Samrin down: Down
- Drop Petpet(s): Space Bar
Items:
- Petpets: Carry these to the padlocks before Balthazar can get them.
- Snorkle: Avoid dropping them at critical moments, as they tend to go to the worst possible places.
- Chicken Petpet: Regular petpet’s.
- Babaa: Regular petpet’s.
- Blue Dog Petpet: Sometimes teleports to you when they are on your left side; this may be a glitch or an intended feature.
- Orange Gem: Briefly increases Samrin’s speed.
- Blue Gem: Freezes Balthazar for a few seconds.
- x2: Allows you to carry 2 petpets at once for a short period. If you are carrying them when the effect wears off, they won’t drop.
- Apple: Gathers petpets in one spot, although this item is rarely seen.
Each petpet you successfully deliver to a padlock is worth 5 points.
Lives:
You start with 3 lives. You can lose lives if Balthazar eats you or a petpet. If Balthazar consumes you, you will respawn at a different location, but you will still carry any petpet you had when you were eaten.
Level Changes:
Be aware that elements that disappear or appear during levels will not reappear or disappear again:
- Level 1: 4 petpets; all gates and transitions available.
- Level 4: 5 petpets; up-down transition removed; a puddle acts as an obstacle.
- Level 6: North gate removed.
- Level 7: 6 petpets; right-left transition removed.
- Level 9: A rock serves as an obstacle (similar to the puddle).
- Level 10: 7 petpets.
- Level 11: South gate removed.
- Level 13: 8 petpets; second puddle introduced.
- Level 16: 10 petpets; east gate removed.
- Level 18: Another rock added.
- Level 20: The final level.
Strategies:
This game doesn’t require too much strategy. Your primary focus should always be on herding the petpets that Balthazar is targeting. However, consider the following tips:
- Grab power-ups if they are within reach, as they can significantly aid your gameplay.
- Learn Balthazar’s movement patterns to anticipate his actions and protect your petpets effectively.
