You Need:
- Very Very basic HTML Knowledge
- The ability to take a screenshot
To Do:
- Get Firefox
- Get the addon Firebug
- Go to desired “screenie” page
- Open up Firebug
- In the top left corner you will see a blue arrow looking thing next to the bug… click it and select the word/image you are going to change
6. You will be presented with a large section of code… the code for the word/image you selected will be automatically selected. Find the replacement image URL/Alternate Text and put it in the appropriate spot in the code. The page will then update with the code you entered.
7. Take the screenshot of the page and viola, you have your practically perfect fake screenie!
Tips:
- Be careful with spelling/grammer
- To make a screenie appear like it’s taken from someone else’s account, edit the sidebar (pet, stats, etc.) as well as the top bar to create a more realistic effect
- Be realistic. Do your research on item price, etc. when making a restock screenie, etc.
- Have fun!
